The sport of lacrosse has rich history as the term "Lacrosse" was derived from the Native American game called "Baaga'adowe". While some might say lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the world, it has yet to establish a prominent global presence.

For lacrosse to make a world class mark in the realm of global sports, three key areas need to improve:

1. First and foremost, Lacrosse at the Collegiate level needs to continue to expand. The NCAA Division 1 men's lacrosse program is really the foundation for why Lax is the fastest growing sport in America. NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse is a hotbed for great programs that includes UNC Lacrosse, Duke Lacrosse, Maryland Lacrosse, and Notre Dame Lacrosse. However, before a global "lax world" can be established, a lot of prominet NCAA Division 1 programs to develop their lacrosse programs. 3. USA lacrosse needs to put emphasis on cultivating youth programs to play lacrosse games internationally. USA lacrosse should have insitutions for each age and gender and those programs should offer lots of opportunities for global and international lacrosse games.
